One of a batch of eight identical blocks: a deep open-ended slot with a row of small square notches down both walls, a keyway groove, two bushed holes and a raised tongue on the back face. The block is milled and the notch profile along the slot walls is wire cut, because the notches are smaller than a cutter can reach into.
On a batch like this the set is the deliverable. The blocks were measured together on the granite plate and the notch pitch was checked along each slot, so that any one of the eight interchanges with the others in the assembly.
If you are specifying a similar carrier, tell us the pitch across the whole notch row and the fit the tongue and bushed holes have to make; those decide the process split between milling and wire EDM.
